Walk-A-Thon is the BHIS PTA Spring Fundraiser. Our goal is to raise $18,000 to pay for essential programming. Every dollar helps! You can write a check or give cash through the Donation envelope that went home with students on May 4, or donate through this site.
Volunteering is a great way to get involved – meet your child’s friends and get to know other parents better. Please sign up if you can help out! http://signup.com/go/uBPzdjm
On May 9, after early release, we will transform the library into a beautiful space for our teachers to gather and enjoy a luncheon provided by BHIS families. We will have gifts of chocolate, flowers and wonderful main dishes donated by the Chinese families from our school. Ms. Wong is helping to coordinate the main dishes.
Please contact Alli Howard if you can help or have any questions. Thank you!
We welcome all Beacon Hill families and community members to attend our PTA meetings.
Free child care for kids age 3 and older is provided by Launch Beacon Hill for our evening meetings.
Beginning Monday, March 26th, Beacon Hill will be launching its new Breakfast After the Bell program in partnership with the district and United Way of King County! This means that breakfast will be provided absolutely free of charge to all students through the end of the school year! We are so excited to have more kids starting their days off with full bellies, ready to learn!
You’re invited to come talk about the future of Seattle’s international schools and dual language immersion (Intl/DLI) programs. The school district will share the results from the Intl/DLI Task Force, as well as the Intl/DLI Program Review Final Report.
Colin Pierce from Rainier Beach HS will talk about their International Baccalaureate (IB) program. They’re hoping to have language teachers and representatives from Cleveland HS and Franklin HS to talk with students and families, as well.
Childcare, refreshments and interpretation in Cantonese, Mandarin, Somali, Spanish and Vietnamese will be provided.
