Returning Devices
Any student not enrolled in summer school needs to return their devices (laptops/ipads), hotspots, etc on their last day of school. For students attending in-person please make sure your student leaves their device with their teacher on their last day. For student learning remotely families can either drop off technology that last day of school, Friday June 18th, or the following Monday June 21st.

The last day of school is Friday June 18th. We will dismiss one hour early on the last day at 1:30.
Message from the new administration
Hello Families of Beacon Hill International School,
It is with great pleasure that I write this letter to you as the incoming principal of Beacon Hill International School. As new principal, I am eager to join the BHIS family and I feel privileged to have the opportunity to work with such a highly qualified and dedicated staff, brilliant students, and supportive families. In just the few interactions I’ve had with staff, students, and families, it is abundantly clear that BHIS is a unique and special place.
I am passionate about education and children. During my career in education, I was a paraprofessional, a teacher, a consulting teacher, a principal, and most recently an assistant principal at West Seattle Elementary. I am elated and honored to have this opportunity to serve as your principal and I look forward to immersing myself completely in our school and our community.
As an educator with over 22 years of experience, I value building trusting relationships with the community I serve. Therefore, during my first few months at BHIS, I will listen, observe, ask questions, and meet with the community to identify what is working and what things could be improved. I believe that by collaborating with staff and families, we can forge ahead and build upon the success that is so obvious at BHIS!

Hello Families of Beacon Hill International School,
I am honored to write and introduce myself as the incoming Assistant Principal. I am eager to step into this role! I look forward to building upon the amazing work that has occurred at BHIS, while also look to foster authentic relationships with all students, families, and staff. I am truly honored for the opportunity to learn from and with all of you.
I began my career in Seattle Public Schools 16 years ago and have held a variety of positions, including Head Start Teacher, Instructional Assistant, 1st/2nd grade teacher, Early Learning Coach, and Consulting teacher. Being a parent myself, I am passionate about family engagement, teaching and learning, and cultivating each student’s strengths and talents. I am looking forward to bringing these experiences and beliefs to the BHIS community to advance the work that has been initiated.
In my first few months, I plan to have connection meetings, to hear from you! Specifically, what you are wanting and needing in an Assistant Principal, what are strengths/areas of growth of the BHIS community, and how you see us partnering? Grade-level Hangouts:
The PTA is organizing optional outdoor hangout time at the Beacon Hill Playground (not the school playground.) PTA will provide treats, but families must supervise their own children. No school staff will be supervising students. Please wear masks. We hope that many of you will join us!

The cost of each yearbook is $12.35. The PTA is asking families to pay what you can this year, from $0-$25. You can pay for a yearbook:
- On the PTA website, via PayPal
- By dropping off a check in the PTA dropbox, payable to BHIS PTA (near the front desk at school)

Retorno de dispositivos
Cualquier estudiante que no esté inscrito en la escuela de verano, deberá regresar sus dispositivos (laptops / ipads), hotspots, etc, en su último día de clases. Me siento honrada de escribir y presentarme como la nueva subdirectora. ¡Estoy ansiosa por asumir este papel!
