Hello Beacon Hill Families,
I hope that you are doing well and enjoying the spring sunshine.
I am reaching out to you to let you know that I will not be returning to Beacon Hill as your principal for the 2021/2022 school year. I have the opportunity to serve as a Principal Coach here in SPS as part of the Lead Up Program which supports new principals in their work leading their buildings. This was a very hard decision as I absolutely love partnering with all of you to serve our amazing community of learners but I am also excited to take my learnings and experiences from Beacon Hill and use them to impact students served by school leaders throughout our district.
While I am looking forward to this new adventure, I am sad that after June I will no longer be directly working with the Beacon Hill students and families. Given how much I enjoy being a part of this community and the pleasure I take in working with your children each day, this was not an easy decision for me to make. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity to lead at Beacon Hill and for your partnership to create a school focused on the goal that every student feels safe, invested, valued, respected, and loved.
I will always cherish this amazing time together, please know that you will always have a place in my heart.
Communication will come from SPS central office next week regarding the process for selecting a new leader for Beacon Hill. There will also be a survey so that our community can give input to help identify the qualities that will most benefit the unique attributes and programs at BHIS.

Saludos familias de Beacon Hill,
Deseando que estén muy bien y al mismo tiempo disfrutando del sol primaveral.
Me comunico con ustedes para informarles que no regresaré a Beacon Hill como su directora para el año escolar 2021/2022. Se me ha dado la oportunidad de servir como entrenadora de directores a nivel primaria dentro de la organización de Seattle Public Schools, como parte del programa “Lead Up”, que apoya a los nuevos directores en su trabajo dirigiendo sus escuelas. Esta fue una decisión muy difícil de tomar, ya que me encanta asociarme con todos ustedes para servir a nuestra increíble comunidad de estudiantes, pero al mismo tiempo estoy emocionada de llevar mi aprendizaje y experiencias adquiridas en Beacon Hill para llevarlas a cabo en mi nueva posición y así crear un impacto a los estudiantes que son asistidos por líderes escolares en todo nuestro distrito.
Si bien espero con ansias esta nueva aventura, me entristece que después de junio ya no trabajaré directamente con los estudiantes y las familias de Beacon Hill. Dado lo mucho que disfruto ser parte de esta comunidad y el placer que siento al trabajar con sus hijos todos los días, esta no fue una decisión fácil para mí. Siempre estaré agradecida por la oportunidad de dirigir en Beacon Hill y por su asociación para crear una escuela enfocada en la meta de que cada estudiante se sienta seguro, comprometido, valorado, respetado y amado.
Siempre apreciaré este maravilloso tiempo que compartimos juntos, por favor sepan que siempre tendrán un lugar en mi corazón.
